"Start Your Impossible" reflects Toyota's evolution from a car company to a mobility company. One of its goals is to highlight real-life mobility stories of Olympic and Paralympic athletes, as well as everyday athletes who demonstrate the values of humility, hard work and perseverance through the Dual Heroes project.
This initiative marks Toyota's long-term commitment to support the creation of a more inclusive and sustainable society, in which everyone can challenge their impossible through stories of determination and the help of Toyota technology. Read out more about our mobility solutions.
Meet Abdul Latif Romly, the fighting spirit and inspiration of our Start Your Impossible initiative. Our very own Dual Hero.
Hailing from Perlis, the 22-year-old was the first Paralympian to be named Best Sportsman of the Year in 2016. He secured a gold medal at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, beating the T20 long jump world record three times on the same day before finally setting a new world record at 7.6 meters on his final jump.
In line with Toyota's belief that mobility goes beyond cars, Abdul Latif Romly will now help us champion the cause of supporting younger athletes to excel through the Malaysia Paralympic Council, so they too can start their impossible and make their dreams come true.
The Toyota Outrun is an 8-km run that aims to raise funds to support the Paralympic Council of Malaysia. Registration is open to the public with a sign-up fee of RM50 which will be donated to the Paralympic Council of Malaysia.
All participants will be entitled for exclusive merchandise* while stocks lasts.
