LONDON CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
Founded in 1921, the London Chamber Orchestra (LCO) is the oldest professional chamber orchestra in the United Kingdom. It comprises some of the top musicians in London, and has a rich history at the heart of classical music over the last hundred years.
On a mission to change the way audiences experience classical concerts, this innovative and adventurous orchestra works not only with world-renowned soloists and conductors, but also young emerging talent to break down the barriers between the orchestra and the audience, allowing all to share in the experience of live music.
LCO has premiered works by many significant 20th century figures such as Stravinsky, Bloch and Vaughan Williams, as well as modern composers such as Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, James MacMillan and Graham Fitkin.

PRINCIPAL CONDUCTOR & MUSIC DIRECTOR
CHRISTOPHER WARREN-GREEN
A familiar face with the London Chamber Orchestra (LCO) since 1988, Christopher Warren-Green is also the Music Director of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and has worked extensively with various orchestras in North America and the Far East. During the 2018/19 season, he led the London Chamber Orchestra in an eclectic season including music by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Suk, Dvorák Roxanna Panufnik and both Sergei and Gabriel Prokofiev. Guest engagements in 2018/19 included re-invitations to the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, Pacific Symphony and two programmes with Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra featuring music by Ligeti, Bartok, Bruckner, Britten, Sibelius and Elgar.
The British maestro has also conducted previously for the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, Beethoven Orchester Bonn and Iceland Symphony amongst others. In addition to his key engagements, Mr Warren-Green is a key figure in the LCO's education and outreach project, Music Junction.
An alumnus of the Royal Academy of Music, Mr Warren-Green has been personally invited to conduct for the British royal family on several occasions. He led the LCO during the widely televised 2011 wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and also conducted for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday concert.

TRUMPET
SOLOISTLUCIENNE RENAUDIN VARY
Winner of the 'Révélation' category at the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2016, French trumpeter Lucienne Renaudin Vary has been described as a "trumpet sensation" by Classical KDFC. As a Warner artist, she released her first album in autumn 2017, The Voice of the Trumpet, in collaboration with Orchestre National de Lille and Rolando Villazón. Her second album, Demoiselle in New York, recorded with the BBC Concert Orchestra under Bill Elliott, will be released in autumn 2019.
Ms Vary's list of achievements include performing with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Paavo Järvi, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Münchner Symphoniker and at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival. In her native France, Lucienne has appeared at the Seine Musicale, Annecy Classic Festival and La Folle Journée in Nantes with the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra, broadcasted live on ARTE.
In the 2019/20 season, Ms Vary will be making her US debut at the season opening gala-concert of the National Symphony Orchestra, performing with Yuja Wang under Gianandrea Noseda. She will also make her Hong Kong debut with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as part of the French May Festival. In Europe, Ms Vary will debut with the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra and Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck, and return to the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and London Chamber Orchestra.
