The Toyota Drive Mobile Application is a fast one-tap connection for service booking, information, offers, website, location map and contact details.
1.2 How do I navigate through the application to access the various features?
The Toyota Drive Mobile Application has been designed for easy, intuitive navigation.

1.4 Who can use the Toyota Drive Mobile Application?
It is available to the general public view. However, you will need to be a registered user to have access to Service Appointment and Road Assistance. The Toyota Drive Mobile Application is also available to all individuals and companies who have registered vehicles or purchased cars from UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd authorized outlets.
1.5 How much does the Toyota Drive Mobile Application cost?
The Mobile Application is free of charge.
1.6 Can I use the same Toyota Drive Mobile Application for more than one vehicle?
Yes, you can use the same application for more than one vehicle. As an added convenience for Toyota Drive subscribers, you may add your vehicle at My Toyota in Profile page.
1.7 How will I know when an updated version of the Toyota Drive Mobile Application is available?
From your iOS:
- Launch the App Store application by selecting the appropriate icon.
- At the bottom of the screen, select Updates.
- When there is a new update available, the Toyota Drive Mobile Application will be listed on this screen.
From your Android based phone:
- Launch Play Store
- Select My Apps to see any app updates

2.1 Where do I get the Toyota Drive Mobile Application?
The iOS version of the Toyota Drive Mobile Application is available through the Apple App Store on iTunes.
The Android version can be found on Play Store.
2.2 How do I download the Toyota Drive Mobile Application ?
From your iOS:
- Select the App Store icon
- Go to Search and type in “Toyota Drive”
- When “Toyota Drive” comes up, press the application icon and select “Get” to download to your phone
From your Android based phone
- Select Play Store
- Go to Search and type “Toyota Drive”
- Select the Toyota Drive app from the list
- Select “Download” from the Toyota Drive information page
- Press “Accept & Download” to automatically download
2.3 Where can I find the Toyota Drive Mobile Application on my phone?
Once installed, the application will be listed in the applications or games/applications section on your mobile phone.
The location of the application will vary based on the phone model.
2.4 I started to download the application and I’ve been waiting a long time. How long should it take?
The length of time it takes to download the Toyota Drive Mobile Application depends on data speed on device.
3.1 Who can register?
All individuals and companies who have registered vehicles or purchased cars from UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd authorized outlets.
3.2 How to register?
Input valid IC and car registration number
Input valid Email Address
Create password & confirm entered password
(Password must be 8-12 characters, alphanumeric.)

3.4 How do I register?
User can register by tapping on Sign Up link which can be found at Login page.
3.5 Why do I need to register?
Registration is required for verification purposes to allow access to vehicle details.
3.6 What will happen if invalid information (car registration,IC) is provided?
User will NOT be allowed to proceed with registration.
3.7 I have provided valid information, but why am I still not able to register ?

3.8 What will happen if I no longer own the Toyota vehicle?
You will need to contact our toll free number 1800-8-TOYOTA(869682) or visit the nearest service centre to update your information.
3.9 Why I should provide an email address ?
It will be used for the password recovery process in case you forgotten your password.
3.10 What email address should I provide?
Any valid email address is sufficient.
3.11 Where is your PDPA agreement?
PDPA agreement link is provided at bottom page of the T&C agreement. It will be linked to Toyota Malaysia website (www.toyota.com.my/terms#pdpa).
4.1 Do I have to enter my IC number and password every time I want to use the Toyota Drive Mobile Application?
As long as you remain log-in you are not requested to re-enter IC number and password every time you log into the application.
4.2 How do I reset my password?
Log into the Toyota Drive Mobile Application and follow the Change Password at My Profile page to reset.
4.3 What if I forgot my password?
There is a Forgot your Password link provided at Login page.
This link can be used to request for a password recovery which will be sent to your email address provided during registration.
Or user can call our Toyota Free Phone at 1800-8-TOYOTA(869682) for assistance.
4.4 How do I logout of the application?
There is a Logout listed located on the menu page.
5.1 What devices are compatible with the Toyota Drive Mobile Application?
iOS with version 8.0 and above
Android with version 4.4 and above
5.2 Is the Toyota Drive Mobile Application compatible with an iPad?
Yes, you can download the Toyota Drive Mobile Application on an iPad. However, the screen will be the mobile phone screen size.
5.3 Do I need a data plan to use the Toyota Drive Mobile Application?
Yes, you will need a data plan as the Mobile Application will need to send and receive data from your mobile phone.
5.4 How much data does the Toyota Drive Mobile Application use?
Most of the Toyota Drive Mobile Application features only require a small amount of data to be transmitted (1-2 kB). Features which utilize maps (such as Service Appointment, Road Assistance, Pre-Owned Cars & Vehicle Model) may require 30kB of data or more.
5.5 How much space does the Toyota Drive Mobile Application take up on my device?
The Toyota Drive Mobile Application uses approximately 9.40MB free space for Android and 25.7MB free space for IOS.
5.6 Do I need GPS to use the Toyota Drive Mobile Application?
Some features do require GPS. To take full advantage of the app and it’s features, GPS is ideal.
5.7 Can I transfer my Toyota Drive Mobile Application to another phone?
Yes, you may transfer Toyota Drive Mobile Application to another device. Do login using your IC and password used before.
5.8 Can I use Toyota Drive Mobile Application on two mobile devices simultaneously?
Yes, however the access to one of the device will be expired.
6.1 Is the Toyota Drive Mobile Application secure?
Yes, the application has built-in security features such as:
- Unique subscriber password and IC required for access
- Multi-factor authentication to ensure compliance at registration
6.2 What happens if I lose my phone with the Toyota Drive Mobile Application installed?
A unique 8 to 12 password and IC is needed for a user to access your application. If your device is lost or stolen, an unauthorized user would not be able to access the application without the correct login credentials.
6.3 Will my account information reside on my phone?
Account information remains in your phone until account is logged out. Once you have logged in again, your account information will be made available.
7.1 I’m not getting any results back when I try the Outlet Location feature, why?
The Outlet Location function uses your phone GPS location to search for local dealers. If the phone cannot acquire an accurate location, the Outlet Location function will not work properly.
7.2 Why do I need to allow the application to access my phone’s GPS location?
Your phone GPS is required to use several features in the Toyota Drive Mobile Application including Service Appointment, Road Assistance and Outlet Location.
a) Service Appointment & Outlet Location uses your phone’s GPS to find the outlet that are closest to your current location.
b) Road Assistance
- The Mobile Application will also request your phone GPS when initiating a call for Roadside Assistance service.
- Road Assistance will use GPS to locate your position when SOS is requested. By submitting a request, it acquires your location and sends the needed assistance.
